Kids workshop | Make Your Own Monster - Weaving with Australian Tapestry Workshop

Design gets wild in this joyful, tactile workshop where kids create their own one-of-a-kind textile monster with the Australia Tapestry Workshop’s (ATW) Weaving Kit!

Through colour, texture, and playful construction, participants explore how imagination can be stitched, layered, and brought to life through weaving.

The workshop introduces children to Australia’s rich textile traditions while celebrating experimentation, imperfection, and imagination. Part creature, part character, part keepsake — each monster becomes a fun little buddy to take home made by small hands with big ideas.

Australian Tapestry Workshop has a rich, 50-year history of working with artists to translate their work into tapestry.

Ideal for ages 5+ accompanied by a parent/guardian.
